About Dennis Bierman

from the Keizer Academy of Music and Arts: Dennis Bierman began playing drums at the age of 9. He is retired from the US Army reserve having served in the 108th Army Band (Arizona), 234th Army Band (Oregon), and the 108th Army Band (Washington). He presently performs locally with the Keizer Community Band, Salem Pops Orchestra, and the Willamette Valley Concert Band. He can play drum set, tympani, and mallets. He performs regularly with the Glen Tadina Swing Street Band, Jay Burchak's Black Magic Big Band, Keizer Community Big Band, and leads his own jazz group, the Grand Jazz Band. He records locally with the group Arrival. Dennis is an artist/endorser for the Metropolitan Drum Company, a manufacturer of cocktail drum kits. He resides in Salem with his wife Janet, a Registered Nurse.
